도시의 참새는                Urban sparrows

추억이 없다:                  Do not have any memories:

황금빛 들판                  Golden-colored rice fields;

여무는 벼 이삭               Ripening rice grains;

새 쫓는 아이들               Kids driving the birds away;

방앗간 낱알갱이.              Grains in the mill.

도시의 참새는                Urban sparrows

추억이 없다:                  Do not have any memories:

쓰레기통 뒤지며              Scavenging the trash cans

빵 조각 찾아 먹다            For picking at bits,

길고양이 눈빛에              But at the eyes of wild cats,

콩콩 뛰는 새가슴뿐.           Heart beats are pounding.

추억이 없는 참새는           Sparrows without memories

그리움을 모른다.              Do not long for anything.

하늘은 저리 맑고             The sky is so clear

아침 해 오르는데…           And the morning sun is rising…
